<p>On August 8, 2023, <strong>wildfires erupted across various parts of Maui Island,</strong>, located in the south of Hawaii. Simultaneously, the powerful winds of Hurricane &apos;Dora,&apos; passing through
  the south of Hawaii, exacerbated the situation, <strong>resulting in the worst wildfires in the United States,</strong> rapidly spreading within hours. Firefighting efforts continued on Maui Island
  until August 16, 9 days after the initial outbreak.</p>

<p>While examining the initial wildfire outbreak in the Olinda area through satellite imagery, it was possible to identify the affected area through smoke, but obtaining information about the extent
  of the fire&apos;s spread was challenging. <strong>NARA SPACE&apos;s satellite data platform, &apos;EARTHPAPER,&apos; offers a &apos;Fire Layer&apos; that allows for the immediate detection of wildfires and fires from satellite
    images,</strong> enabling precise tracking of the areas and locations affected by the fire.<br><br>
  Through satellite imagery, it was confirmed that the Olinda area was the initial ignition point of the wildfires, starting at 11:09 AM. Subsequently, wildfires broke out in other areas one after
  another, leading to an uncontrollable increase in the scale of wildfire damage.</p>
