This approach serves as an essential tool for maximizing the efficiency of disaster response.<blockquote class="corner-blockquote">Smart Analytics Solution</blockquote>The Northwestern Pacific Ocean, often referred to as the “Typhoon Belt,” experiences an average of 20 typhoons each year, of which approximately 8 to 9 pass through the Philippines. Extensive inundation was detected in the agricultural lands surrounding Lake Naujan in Oriental Mindoro Province. Additionally, flood damage covering 7.657 km² was identified in the vicinities of Mansalay and Roxas.<img src="https://earthpaper.s3.ap-northeast-2.amazonaws.com/post/v2/editor/26/en-Flood-Hazard-Map-Mindoro.png" class="default-image-preview">Nara Space has developed a Flood Hazard Map utilizing a <dfn data-content="A dataset that represents the elevation of the terrain surface, providing detailed information about landform heights.">Digital Elevation Model (DEM)</dfn> to analyze flood susceptibility based on terrain and elevation differences.<img src="https://earthpaper.s3.ap-northeast-2.amazonaws.com/post/v2/editor/26/en-flood-affected-areas-and-hazard-zone-overlay-map.png" class="default-image-preview">Through the Flood Hazard Map, it was observed that most of the flood damage following Typhoon Wipha (2025) occurred in areas classified as moderate to high flood risk zones. In particular, Oriental Mindoro Province, which is adjacent to lakes and river basins, and the low-lying northwestern urban areas of Mindoro Island require special attention due to their elevated flood risk.Through satellite-based analysis, Nara Space provides local governments and private enterprises with rapid damage assessments and customized mitigation planning through its Smart Analytics Solution.
